Nikola Jokic delivered a historic performance on Monday night, recording a career-high 19 assists in the Denver Nuggets’ 125-116 victory over the Indiana Pacers.

His tally marks the most assists by a center in an NBA game since Wilt Chamberlain’s 21 in 1968, making Jokic and Chamberlain the only centers in history to reach such numbers.

Beyond his playmaking, the three-time MVP contributed 18 points on 9-of-14 shooting, nine rebounds, three steals, and a block, becoming the first player ever to post that stat line in a single game.

He also finished with a game-high +17 plus-minus alongside Jamal Murray.

Jokic, who had 16 triple-doubles in his first MVP season, 19 in the second, and 25 in the third, is now one game away from setting a new personal best.

With the Nuggets reclaiming second place in the Western Conference (38-20) and winning 10 of their last 11 games, Jokic remains a leading MVP candidate.

Denver now prepares for a showdown with Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks on February 27.
