Southampton manager Ivan Juric is confident that Paul Onuachu can continue to find the back of the net after his match-winning goal against Ipswich Town on Saturday.
Onuachu’s decisive strike secured all three points for Southampton in a 2-1 win at Portman Road.
The Nigeria international made the most of a parried shot from substitute Suleiman Kamaldeen, smashing the ball into the net with precision for his second league goal of the season.
Juric praised Onuachu’s work ethic and commitment to the team, expressing belief that his forward can score even more goals in the future.
“It was a great moment for Paul,” Juric said. “He deserved it because he worked really hard. It’s his second goal, and I think he can score more, but he’s been fantastic for the team.”
