Juventus have moved swiftly to open talks with former Napoli and Italy boss Luciano Spalletti after parting ways with Igor Tudor on Monday.
Tudor’s dismissal follows an eight-game winless streak that culminated in Sunday’s 1-0 defeat to Lazio, a result that proved decisive for the Juve hierarchy.
The Croatian, who guided the club to Champions League qualification last season, had his contract extended until 2028 only a few months ago but struggled to replicate that success this term.
With just three wins in 13 games, Juve’s campaign has faltered, and Massimo Brambilla, coach of the club’s Next Gen side, will take interim charge for Wednesday’s Serie A match against Udinese.
Talks with Spalletti are said to be at an advanced stage, with Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reporting that Juventus have arranged a face-to-face meeting to finalise terms.
The club are reportedly offering a deal until the end of the season, with an automatic extension tied to Champions League qualification.
Spalletti, who led Napoli to their first Scudetto in over three decades in 2023, is understood to be open to the move after rejecting approaches from Fenerbahce and clubs in Qatar.
Juventus hope the 66-year-old can bring the same winning touch that made him a Serie A champion in Naples.
