The New York Knicks pulled off another stunning 20-point comeback to edge the Boston Celtics 91-90 and seize a 2-0 lead in their Eastern Conference semi-final series.
In a near carbon copy of their Game 1 overtime rally, the Knicks turned the tide late, with Mikal Bridges scoring all 14 of his points in the fourth quarter, including a crucial steal on Jayson Tatum’s final drive.
Josh Hart led the way with 23 points, while Karl-Anthony Towns added a dominant 21-point, 17-rebound performance.
Jalen Brunson was once again clutch, giving New York its first lead with under two minutes to play and calmly sinking two free throws after Tatum’s go-ahead dunk with 18.5 seconds left.
Boston, who led by 20 late in the third quarter, went ice cold down the stretch, missing 14 straight shots in the fourth.
Jaylen Brown and Derrick White each had 20 points, but the defending champions now face a daunting deficit as the series shifts to Madison Square Garden on Saturday.
