Inter Milan were stunned by a last-gasp strike from Riccardo Orsolini in a 1-0 defeat to Bologna on Sunday, a result that saw their lead at the top of Serie A wiped out, leaving them level on points with Napoli.Despite a largely balanced contest with few clear chances, Inter were punished deep into stoppage time when substitute Orsolini found the net for the hosts, handing the reigning champions just their third league loss of the campaign. After the match, head coach Simone Inzaghi remained calm, urging his players not to lose focus in the race for the title.“It was a tight game. We were organized, showed great sacrifice, and perhaps could’ve made more of some situations,” Inzaghi said. “But we mustn’t let this defeat derail our season. There’s still a long way to go.”Inter, who are chasing a historic treble, were missing key players including Marcus Thuram, Denzel Dumfries, and Piotr Zielinski. Thuram, Serie A’s top scorer for the club with 14 goals, is now in doubt for the crucial Coppa Italia semi-final second leg against AC Milan.Acknowledging the absence of several starters, Inzaghi added, “It’s been a recurring issue this season, but we’re used to adapting. Tonight’s loss will be reviewed, but we’ll keep moving forward.”Despite the setback, Inter’s ambitions remain high, with silverware on multiple fronts still within reach.
