Robert Lewandowski’s second-half header proved decisive as Barcelona battled back to beat Real Sociedad 2-1 and climb to the top of La Liga.
The visitors struck first through Alvaro Odriozola in the 31st minute, but Jules Kounde equalised just before half-time with a powerful header from Marcus Rashford’s corner.
Barca’s breakthrough came in the 58th minute when substitute Lamine Yamal, on the pitch for barely seconds, beat his man and delivered a perfect cross for Lewandowski to nod in.
Sociedad threatened a late equaliser as Takefusa Kubo struck the bar, while Lewandowski also rattled the woodwork at the other end.
Ultimately, Barcelona held firm for their sixth win in seven matches, moving a point clear of rivals Real Madrid.
