Bayern Munich winger Luis Díaz has been given a three-match suspension for serious foul play following his red card in the Champions League win over Paris Saint-Germain.
Díaz scored both goals in Bayern’s 2-1 victory but was sent off just before halftime for a heavy challenge on Achraf Hakimi.
PSG later confirmed Hakimi suffered a severe ankle sprain and has not featured since. The defender collected his African Footballer of the Year award this week while using a scooter.
Bayern manager Vincent Kompany had expected Díaz to miss only the trip to Arsenal, but the Colombian will now also be unavailable for the home fixtures against Sporting and Union Saint-Gilloise.
Bayern remain top of their Champions League group with a perfect record after four matches.
