Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique has cautioned his team against underestimating Brest ahead of their Champions League play-off second leg at Parc des Princes on Wednesday.

Despite PSG’s commanding 3-0 first-leg victory—secured by Vitinha’s penalty and a brace from Ousmane Dembélé—the Spanish coach insists his side must remain focused as they pursue their first Champions League title.

“Without a doubt, it is a tricky match despite the very good result,” Luis Enrique told reporters. “Our job is to approach this match with the mindset that we must win from the outset. The atmosphere will be one of total support, and we just need to think about attacking and defending as a unit.”

He acknowledged Brest’s collective strength, highlighting the danger posed by key players such as Pierre Lees-Melou and Ludovic Ajorque.

“Brest’s strength is their team rather than individuals. It’s very difficult to play against them, and we have to be prepared. Can Brest turn things around? Our aim is not to let that happen,” he added.

Luis Enrique also shared his satisfaction with January signing Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who joined from Napoli for a reported €70 million. The Georgian winger has made six appearances for PSG, scoring once.

“I’m happy with him. It’s obvious that he needs time to adapt—there’s no magic formula,” said Enrique. “He’s a long-term signing, and I’m in no hurry. His attitude and training have been excellent.”

Midfielder Fabián Ruiz echoed his manager’s cautious approach, emphasizing the unpredictability of the Champions League.

“We know that all matches are difficult, especially in this competition,” said Ruiz. “Brest are going to give everything. We’ve analyzed the situation, and we must play from the first minute with the desire to win. Brest have made things difficult for us before, and while we have a lead, it’s not over yet.”

With PSG eyeing a spot in the last 16, they will look to avoid complacency and finish the job on home turf.
