Manchester City have reached an agreement with AC Milan to sign Dutch midfielder Tijjani Reijnders in a deal worth €55m (£46.3m).
The 26-year-old has agreed personal terms and is set to sign a five-year contract, with the move pending a medical. The fee includes performance-related add-ons.
City are aiming to finalise the transfer before the Club World Cup begins on 14 June, with Reijnders arriving at a time of need.
Mateo Kovacic has been ruled out of the tournament after Achilles surgery, while Kevin de Bruyne is unlikely to feature amid reports of an imminent move to Napoli.
