The Dallas Mavericks endured a tough night in their first game since trading Luka Doncic, suffering a heavy 144-101 defeat to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday.

Cleveland took full advantage, with Sam Merrill sinking nine three-pointers off the bench, while Evan Mobley recorded a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Darius Garland also contributed 17 points and 10 assists.

In other NBA action, the Boston Celtics staged a stunning comeback from 26 points down to beat the Philadelphia 76ers 118-110. Jaylen Brown led the charge with 21 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists.

Meanwhile, the Detroit Pistons defeated the Chicago Bulls 127-119, and the Toronto Raptors secured a 115-108 win over the Los Angeles Clippers.
