AC Milan extended their unbeaten run against Inter to four matches for the first time in 20 years, as a 1-1 draw left their Coppa Italia semi-final delicately balanced.

After an evenly contested first half with chances at both ends, Milan struck first early in the second half when Tammy Abraham finished clinically from Youssouf Fofana’s pass.

However, Inter responded in the 67th minute as Hakan Çalhanoğlu hammered in a long-range strike against his former club.

Both sides had opportunities to find a winner, with Rafael Leão going close for Milan and Nicola Zalewski forcing a fine save from Mike Maignan, but neither team could break the deadlock.
