Donovan Mitchell starred as the Cleveland Cavaliers secured their 60th win of the season with a 127-122 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday.

Mitchell recorded 24 points, 12 rebounds, and seven assists, earning praise from coach Kenny Atkinson, who called it his best game of the year.

The win marks Cleveland’s first 60-win season since 2009-2010 and keeps them 4.5 games ahead of Boston in the Eastern Conference standings.

Atkinson admitted he never expected such success but urged his team to keep pushing forward.

Mitchell had strong support from Jarrett Allen (25 points), Evan Mobley (22), and Darius Garland (19).

The Clippers, meanwhile, dropped to eighth in the Western Conference, locked in a battle with Golden State and Minnesota for an automatic playoff spot.

The Warriors bolstered their chances with a dominant 148-106 win over the Spurs, while the Timberwolves moved into seventh after a fiery 123-104 victory over Detroit, which saw multiple ejections.

Phoenix’s playoff hopes took a hit after a 148-109 loss to Houston, worsened by Kevin Durant’s ankle injury in the third quarter. Jalen Green led the Rockets with 33 points.

Elsewhere, Atlanta boosted their postseason push with a 145-124 win over Milwaukee, while the Knicks secured a 110-93 victory over Portland at Madison Square Garden.
