Ja Morant’s clutch performance lifted the Memphis Grizzlies to a thrilling 125-117 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday.
Playing just his second game since returning from a shoulder injury, Morant scored the decisive basket with 18.6 seconds remaining, capping a six-point rally in the final five minutes.
Jaren Jackson Jr. led Memphis with 33 points, while Desmond Bane added 21. Minnesota’s Donte DiVincenzo tallied 27 points and 10 rebounds, but Anthony Edwards missed a potential game-tying three-pointer as time expired.
In Detroit, Cade Cunningham delivered a 23-point triple-double to propel the Pistons to a 123-114 victory over the Toronto Raptors.
Cunningham added 10 rebounds and 17 assists, while Tim Hardaway Jr. contributed 27 points as the Pistons snapped back from a loss to Golden State.
The Phoenix Suns secured a 114-106 wire-to-wire win against the Utah Jazz, led by Devin Booker’s 34-point effort and Kevin Durant’s 25 points.
Lauri Markkanen paced the Jazz with 24 points, but Phoenix’s dominance in the first half proved decisive.
Meanwhile, three NBA games were postponed due to external circumstances. Los Angeles wildfires led to the rescheduling of two games, while a winter storm in Atlanta delayed the Hawks’ matchup with the Houston Rockets.
