Nduka Leads 23-Man Nigeria Squad for CHAN 2024

Remo Stars captain Junior Nduka headlines Nigeria’s final 23-man squad for the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), which kicks off August 2 in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.

Coach Eric Chelle named nine Remo Stars players following the team’s final pre-tournament friendly against Ikorodu City on Tuesday in Ikenne.

Shooting Stars goalkeeper Mustapha Lawal joins Enyimba’s Henry Ozoemena and Kwara United’s Badmus Nurudeen as the three shot-stoppers for the tournament.

Bayelsa United’s Daniel Bameyi, who also captains the Flying Eagles, made the final cut.

The squad will depart for Tanzania on Thursday and are expected to play more friendly matches before opening their campaign against Senegal and Sudan in Zanzibar, before facing Congo in Dar es Salaam.
