The Nigeria Football Federation has officially submitted a 28-man squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, confirming a strong and well-balanced group as the Super Eagles begin their push for a fourth continental crown.
The goalkeeping department features Stanley Nwabali, who returns still nursing an injury, alongside the recalled Francis Uzoho and Amas Obasogie.
In defence, Calvin Bassey, Semi Ajayi and Chidozie Awaziem provide much-needed experience, while Igoh Ogbu, Samuel Osayi and new invitee Ryan Alebiosu add athleticism and youthful energy. Bruno Onyemaechi and Zaidu Sanusi ensure reliable depth on the left.
Midfield stability comes from Alex Iwobi, Frank Onyeka and Wilfred Ndidi, with creative influence supplied by Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and Raphael Onyedika.
First-time tournament selections Usman Muhammed, Ebenezer Akinsanmiro and Tochukwu Nnadi round out a dynamic midfield unit.
Nigeria’s forward line remains one of Africa’s most feared. Victor Osimhen leads the attack, supported by pace and flair from Ademola Lookman, Samuel Chukwueze, Moses Simon and Chidera Ejuke.
Paul Onuachu, Cyriel Dessers, Adams Akor and new call-up Salim Fago Lawal provide additional firepower and variety in the final third.
With the squad confirmed, preparations intensify as Nigeria gears up for Group C, where the Super Eagles will face Tanzania, Tunisia and Uganda. Their tournament begins on December 23 in Fez.
