September 4, 2025

Nigeria and Poland are set to deepen bilateral trade and investment ties with the maiden edition of the Polish–Nigerian Economic Forum, scheduled for September 11, 2025, at the Eko Hotel & Suites, Lagos.

According to a statement the one-day forum is being organised by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency in partnership with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Abuja.

It is expected to bring together senior government officials, business leaders, and industry experts from both countries to explore fresh opportunities for cooperation.

The event will feature over 15 Polish companies showcasing cutting-edge technologies and expertise across sectors such as IT and cybersecurity, infrastructure, energy management, housing, oil and gas (downstream), compressed natural gas (CNG) and autogas, as well as medical equipment.

Described as the largest Polish–Nigerian business-to-business (B2B) event of 2025, the forum is designed to strengthen partnerships and stimulate sustainable economic growth.

The organisers said discussions will spotlight Poland’s economic achievements, areas of strategic bilateral interest, and the role of sustainable finance as a catalyst for growth.

Key participants will include top Polish officials, Nigerian policymakers, and private sector leaders. The involvement of KUKE (Polish Export Credit Agency) and BGK (Polish Development Bank) underscores the importance of export credit and development financing in driving cross-border trade and investment.

“This Forum offers a unique platform to strengthen economic ties and explore practical avenues for investment and trade between Poland and Nigeria,” said Justyna Sitarska, Head of the Foreign Trade Office of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency in Nigeria.

“We are excited to present opportunities where Polish expertise meets Nigerian market potential for mutually beneficial outcomes,” she added.

The forum will also include dedicated networking sessions and a trade expo, providing Polish and Nigerian businesses with the opportunity to engage directly and explore potential ventures.
