Popular Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has issued a stern warning to members of the public over secretly recording her and her partner during outings, describing the act as intrusive and disrespectful.

In a video shared on her Instagram page, the actress recounted a recent incident at a restaurant where a woman allegedly filmed her and her partner without their consent. According to her, a waitress alerted her to the situation, prompting her to approach the individual and politely express her displeasure.

Blessing emphasised that while she understands she is a public figure, covert recordings—especially involving her partner—are unacceptable. She noted that her partner prefers to remain out of the spotlight and that she is committed to protecting his privacy.

“Yes, I am a public figure. If you want a picture or a video, walk up to me. I don’t bite,” she said. “But taking unsolicited videos of my man and me is disrespectful.”

The actress made it clear that she has no issue with fans requesting photos or videos, provided they seek permission first. However, she warned that she would not hesitate to damage any phone used to secretly record her and her partner in the future.

Blessing also reiterated her decision to keep her relationship off social media for now, explaining that they are enjoying their time together away from public scrutiny. She added that if she eventually decides to introduce her partner online, it will be on her own terms.
