Nollywood actress and producer Dayo Amusa has been elected the National Vice President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), following the recently concluded AGN national election in Benin City, Edo State.
In a press statement dated December 8, 2025, Amusa described her election as a testament to her “unwavering dedication, leadership qualities, and longstanding commitment to the growth and integrity of the Actors Guild of Nigeria.”
“This achievement reflects the trust and confidence reposed in me by members of the guild, and I am certain that my creativity and administrative excellence will bring renewed strength to the Secretariat and elevate the guild’s operational standards,” she said. “My tenure will be marked by transparency, innovation, and impactful service that will inspire both current and future members of the Actors Guild of Nigeria.”
Dayo Amusa, who has featured in numerous Nollywood productions and produced several films, including the popular Yoruba movie Dewunmi Iberu, pledged to use her new role to advance the interests of Nigerian actors and actresses. She stressed the need for the Nigerian movie industry to claim its rightful place in national development.
Amusa also serves as the Vice President of the Ijebu Pride Network, an initiative celebrating the brightest stars of Ijebuland while promoting the heritage and culture of the region. The network, led by President Bashorun Femi Branch, aims to highlight the cultural richness of both Ijebuland and Remoland.
Widely regarded as a successful and inspiring figure in Nollywood, Dayo Amusa has consistently leveraged her talent to mentor and motivate upcoming actors, further cementing her status as a respected household name across Nigeria.
