Napoli’s Coppa Italia dreams crumbled in Rome as Tijjani Noslin’s dazzling hat-trick powered Lazio to a 3-1 triumph in the last 16 on Thursday night.
Noslin opened the scoring in the 32nd minute, only for Giovanni Simeone to strike back quickly. But the Dutch maestro restored Lazio’s lead with a stunning dummy finish just before halftime.
Four minutes into the second half, he sealed the win with a clinical header from Mattia Zaccagni’s pinpoint cross, bringing his season tally to five goals.
While Zaccagni missed a penalty earlier, Noslin’s brilliance secured Lazio a quarter-final clash against either Inter Milan or Udinese.
The sides meet again in Naples on Sunday, with Serie A leaders Napoli clinging to a slim one-point advantage over Atalanta in the league standings.
