Nuno Urges Unity Amid Forest Tensions

August 25, 2025

Nuno Espirito Santo has called for togetherness at Nottingham Forest, insisting the club must “create harmony” as he seeks to move on from a difficult summer behind the scenes.

Reports of a strained relationship with owner Evangelos Marinakis have surfaced, with disagreements over the influence of new global head of football Edu said to be at the heart of the issue.

Speaking after Forest’s 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace on Sunday, the Portuguese manager stressed the importance of putting personal disputes aside and focusing on strengthening the squad before the transfer window closes.

“Not only us three, all the club has to come together,” Nuno said. “First of all, let’s try to complete our squad. After these situations, what is important is the Forest, not the persons. Everybody wants the best for Forest, me first.”

While he admitted the situation has been challenging, Nuno was clear about the need for open discussions and a collective approach moving forward. “The players need it, the squad needs it, the club needs it.

We are going to have it,” he added. “Conflict doesn’t work out. We have to create harmony.”
