Kenneth Okonkwo, politician, lawyer, and Nollywood actor, has called for the investigation of Ibok Ekwe Ibas, the immediate past Sole Administrator of Rivers State.

Speaking on Sunrise Daily, a Channels Television programme, Okonkwo criticized the state of emergency declared in Rivers, describing it as “uncalled for” and warning that it allowed outsiders to take control of the state’s resources.

“When you are disunited in your state, strangers will be brought in to siphon your resources,” he said.

He argued that all key decisions during the emergency were made by individuals with no direct ties to Rivers State, citing President Bola Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, House Speaker Abbas Tajudeen, Chief Justice of Nigeria Olukayode Ariwoola, and Sole Administrator Ibas as examples.

Okonkwo further alleged that N22 billion was allocated for installing CCTV at the Rivers State Government House and insisted that Ibas should be held accountable for how the funds were spent.
