The Olubadan-designate, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, will be officially installed as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland on Friday, September 26, 2025.
Governor Seyi Makinde has approved his nomination, while a state government delegation met with Ladoja and members of the Olubadan-in-Council at his Bodija residence on Wednesday to finalize arrangements.
Confirming the development, media aide to the incoming monarch, Adeola Oloko announced that the coronation ceremony will hold at the historic Mapo Hall in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
It was also recalled that Ladoja met with the kingmakers at his residence on Tuesday, a meeting that cleared the way for his official installation.
The event is expected to attract dignitaries, traditional rulers, and prominent indigenes of Ibadanland.
