The Ondo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has lauded Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, for what it described as his resilience, calm disposition, and unwavering faith in democratic values.
The party said his leadership qualities have become a source of inspiration for members of the PDP across the country.
In a statement released on Wednesday in Akure, the state capital, the Caretaker Chairman of the PDP in Ondo, Chief Bakkita Bello, congratulated Fubara on his return to office, noting that his comeback was a triumph of the people’s will over what he termed “a political distraction designed to undermine democracy.”
Bello emphasized that the mandate Rivers people freely bestowed upon Fubara remains intact and cannot be overturned by any group or individual.
“Your reinstatement is not only a victory for democracy but also a powerful reaffirmation that the people’s voice in Rivers State cannot be silenced or manipulated.
“Through your resilience, calm approach to governance, and steadfast commitment to constitutional principles, you have shown qualities that inspire our party across Nigeria,” Bello said.
He further applauded the Rivers governor for maintaining focus on peace, unity, and development despite the political turbulence that had threatened to destabilize his administration.
“Your determination to stand firm in defense of justice and truth serves as a guiding light for all who believe in democracy and good governance. “What sets you apart as a politician is not only your courage but also your genuine concern for the welfare of your people and your reverence for God,” he added.
The Ondo PDP leader assured Fubara that the state chapter remains solidly behind him, pledging prayers, solidarity, and goodwill to his administration. He expressed optimism that Fubara’s renewed tenure would usher in greater milestones for Rivers State.
“May this fresh phase of your government be distinguished by remarkable progress and deeper trust between the leadership and the people,” Bello added, reaffirming the party’s confidence in Fubara’s capacity to deliver unity, prosperity, and development.
