ONUACHU, NWAIWU FIRE TRABZONSPOR PAST GALATASARAY IN TITLE RACE.
Trabzonspor secured a crucial 2-1 win over league leaders Galatasaray, with their
Nigerian stars decisive in a high-stakes clash.
The hosts struck first through Paul Onuachu, who rose highest to meet a pinpoint
crossed and powered a commanding header beyond the goalkeeper, marking his first
goal against Galatasaray and his 22nd of the season.
Galatasaray responded after the break through Wilfried Singo, who finished clinically
from close range to restore parity and set up a tense finale.
Trabzonspor, however, regained the lead when Chibuike Nwaiwu timed his run
perfectly, arriving inside the box to calmly convert Anthony Nwakaeme’s well-
weighted assist.
The victory moves Trabzonspor within one point of the summit, with Onuachu,
Nwaiwu and Nwakaeme delivered when it mattered most.
