Nigeria star Asisat Oshoala has completed a transfer from Bay FC to Saudi Women’s Premier League side Al-Hilal on a two-year contract.
The 30-year-old striker, a six-time African Women’s Player of the Year, joined Bay FC ahead of their inaugural 2024 season from Barcelona, where she lifted two Women’s Champions League titles.
She scored seven goals in her debut year with the San Francisco club, including their first-ever franchise goal against Angel City in March.
Bay FC sporting director Matt Patter hailed Oshoala’s contribution, praising her professionalism and leadership during the club’s debut campaign.
Oshoala, who helped Nigeria win a record 10th Africa Cup of Nations title in 2023, was the first African woman to be nominated for the Ballon d’Or.
At Al-Hilal, she links up with fellow Nigerians Ashleigh Plumptre and Francisca Ordega.
