The Indiana Pacers produced a stunning comeback to edge the New York Knicks 138-135 in overtime in Game One of the NBA Eastern Conference finals.
Down by 14 points with under three minutes left in regulation, Indiana roared back with six straight three-pointers five of them from Aaron Nesmith.
Tyrese Haliburton appeared to seal the win with a deep shot at the buzzer, but a video review downgraded it to a two-pointer, sending the game into overtime.
The Knicks briefly regained the lead in the extra period, but late baskets from Andrew Nembhard and Obi Toppin clinched victory for the visitors.
Haliburton led Indiana with 31 points and 11 assists, while Nesmith added 30 points, hitting 8 of 9 from beyond the arc.
In the losing effort, Jalen Brunson scored 43 for New York, with Karl-Anthony Towns contributing 35.
It marked Indiana’s fourth double-digit comeback win of the playoffs. Game Two is set for Friday at Madison Square Garden.
