Paris Saint-Germain booked their place in the Champions League final with a 2-1 win over Arsenal at the Parc des Princes, sealing a 3-1 aggregate victory and becoming only the third French club to reach multiple finals.

Needing to overturn a 1-0 deficit from the first leg, Arsenal came out firing. Declan Rice headed just wide early on before Gianluigi Donnarumma produced two superb saves to deny Martinelli and Ødegaard inside the first ten minutes.

PSG soaked up the pressure and responded with danger of their own, as Kvaratskhelia struck the post before Fabian Ruiz fired the hosts in front with a brilliant left-footed effort from the edge of the box.

The Gunners continued to fight after the break, but Donnarumma again proved unbreakable, stretching to tip Saka’s curling strike wide.

When Myles Lewis-Skelly was penalised for handball, Raya kept Arsenal alive by saving Vitinha’s tame penalty.

Still, Hakimi eventually punished Partey’s sloppy defending with a sharp finish to make it 2-0 on the night.

Saka gave Arsenal a lifeline by slotting home from Trossard’s cutback, but the England star missed a golden chance to equalise moments later, blazing over an open goal.

PSG held firm to set up a final showdown with Inter Milan in Munich. For Arsenal, it was yet another painful European exit, their sixth in which they’ve lost the first leg at home, extending their wait for a major trophy into a fifth straight season.
