Paris Saint-Germain came from behind to beat Barcelona 2-1 in the Champions League on Wednesday, despite missing several key players.
Ferran Torres gave Barça an early lead, but 19-year-old Senny Mayulu equalised before halftime, and Gonçalo Ramos sealed the win in the 90th minute at the Montjuic Olympic Stadium.
“It was an excellent match,” said PSG boss Luis Enrique, who praised his team’s resilience after a tough start. “We were better in the second half and deserved the win.”
The French champions were without Marquinhos, Dembele, Doue, and Kvaratskhelia, but youngsters like Mayulu stepped up. “He brings so much to the table,” Enrique added.
Barcelona manager Hansi Flick admitted PSG were the stronger side after the first 30 minutes. “They deserved the win,” he said. “We lost our structure and couldn’t hold on.”
PSG now top the group as they prepare to face Bayer Leverkusen next. Barcelona will look to bounce back against Olympiacos.
