Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique praised his team’s mentality after they extended their unbeaten Ligue 1 run to 22 games with a composed 1-0 victory over Toulouse on Saturday.

Despite their ongoing Champions League campaign, PSG remained focused on domestic duty, maintaining their 10-point lead at the top of the table with 56 points, ahead of second-placed Olympique de Marseille.

With a crucial Champions League playoff second leg against Brest looming on Wednesday—following their dominant 3-0 win in the first leg—Luis Enrique was pleased that his squad did not let their attention waver.

“This was a league match between two Champions League matches where losing focus is very easy. Yet I think it’s a very important quality that we have, that we compete at a high level,” the Spanish manager said in his post-match press conference.

Highlighting the depth of his squad, Luis Enrique emphasized that PSG’s competitive spirit remains unchanged regardless of the starting lineup. “The intention is the same, no matter who wears the Paris shirt. Our objective was to have many players who could compete and win, regardless of the line-up.”

The PSG boss also acknowledged Toulouse’s resilience, noting that their defensive organization made them a tough opponent despite their mid-table position. “Toulouse are always a challenge, especially when they’re organised defensively,” he said.

As PSG continues to push for success on multiple fronts, Luis Enrique credited his team’s growing adaptability and strong spirit as crucial factors in their consistency. With their focus intact and their squad depth proving vital, PSG remains in a commanding position both in Ligue 1 and in Europe.
