Liverpool defender Jarell Quansah has sealed a permanent move to Bayer Leverkusen for a reported £35m, including add-ons.
The Reds are understood to have included a buy-back clause for the 21-year-old, who impressed last season under Arne Slot with 13 league appearances in a title-winning campaign.
Quansah rose through Liverpool’s academy ranks after joining at age five, making 58 senior appearances and collecting Premier League and Carabao Cup medals.
“I got a good impression of Leverkusen when we faced them last season,” Quansah said. “It’s an exciting challenge to be part of their rise.”
The England U21 European champion joins Leverkusen following Erik ten Hag’s arrival as head coach.
