Rahman Jago Confirms Burna Boy’s Conversion to Islam Amid Fan Debate
Rahman Jago, a close associate of Grammy-winning Afrofusion star Burna Boy, has confirmed that the singer has embraced Islam, sparking widespread reactions across social media.
The confirmation came after Jago shared a video of Burna Boy praising Allah, which quickly went viral and ignited discussions among fans. Bashir Ahmad, former aide to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, also weighed in, describing Burna Boy as “so happy” and wishing him ease in his Islamic journey. “May Allah (SWT) make it so easy for him,” Ahmad wrote.
When asked by a fan if Burna Boy had officially converted, Ahmad noted that while some of the artist’s associates claimed he had, Burna Boy himself had not yet made a formal announcement. Jago, however, categorically stated, “He converted. He is now a Muslim.”
Burna Boy, who comes from a Christian background, previously revealed on a podcast that he had embraced Islam “at some point” in his search for truth. He later confirmed his conversion during a livestream with Plaueboymax, where he discussed his views on creation and faith.
The development has stirred significant debate among fans, highlighting the intersection of celebrity influence, spirituality, and public perception.
