Marcus Rashford is set to undergo a medical in Spain as he nears a season-long loan move from Manchester United to Barcelona.
The 27-year-old forward arrived in Catalonia on Sunday night after receiving clearance from United to finalise the transfer.
Photos of Rashford disembarking a private jet quickly made the rounds on social media, fuelling anticipation among Barcelona fans.
A deal was agreed in principle over the weekend following swift negotiations between the two clubs. The move includes a 12-month loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.
Rashford has made no secret of his desire for a fresh start after falling out of favour under new United boss Ruben Amorim.
He had declared his intentions to leave as far back as December and is said to have viewed Barcelona as his preferred destination.
This switch follows his recent six-month loan stint with Aston Villa, and should everything go as planned with his medical, Rashford will link up with Barça’s squad for their pre-season tour of Japan and South Korea, which begins Thursday.
The tour could see him face former United teammate Jesse Lingard, now playing for FC Seoul, in a friendly on 31 July.
