Rivers Angels have claimed their 10th President Federation Cup title after a dramatic penalty shootout victory over Nasarawa Amazons in Lagos.
The Port Harcourt side trailed 2-0 at half-time following a quickfire brace from Rukayat Shobowale.
But second-half goals from Taiwo Ajibade and Taiwo Afolabi pulled Rivers Angels level at 2-2 to force penalties.
Keeper Anderline Mgbechi became the hero, saving a penalty and then stepping up to convert the decisive kick as Rivers Angels won the shootout 4-2.
It marks the club’s 10th Federation Cup triumph, adding to titles won between 2010 and 2024.
