Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior has warned his players to improve their
discipline after Pedro Neto became the club’s ninth sending-off of the season in the
2-1 defeat to Arsenal.
The loss leaves Chelsea sixth in the Premier League, with just two wins from their
last six matches and three points off Liverpool in the race for the Champions League
football.
Neto has apologised, but Rosenior demanded more than words.
“My job is to create a culture of accountability,” he said. “If you make a mistake, you
hold your hands up and make sure it doesn’t happen again.”
He added: “I just need to see an improvement in the behaviour now. I can’t afford to
go through a season every two games or every three games with a red card.”
The Chelsea boss made clear he will adjust his team selection based on who shows
better control.
