Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim believes his team is showing clear signs of improvement, particularly in their ability to stay composed after conceding.
However, he insists there is still work to be done ahead of their Premier League clash with Leicester City on Sunday.
United recently held Arsenal to a 1-1 draw before rallying from a goal down to thrash Real Sociedad 4-1 and secure a Europa League quarter-final spot.
Amorim highlighted his squad’s growing tactical awareness and resilience but warned against complacency.
“We understand the game better now. We don’t lose control after conceding, and that’s progress,” Amorim said. “But in football, things can change quickly, so we must stay focused and keep improving.”
Currently 14th in the table, United aim to climb the standings with a win over struggling Leicester, who have lost five straight league matches.
Amorim emphasized the need to maintain momentum, urging his players to approach every game with the same intensity.
The Portuguese coach also praised young defender Ayden Heaven, signed from Arsenal in February, for his recent performances.
“I like his confidence, pace, and defensive skills. He has a lot of potential, but there’s still work to do,” he added.
With United showing signs of progress, Amorim’s focus remains on building consistency and pushing the team further up the table.
