Umar Sadiq has been shortlisted for both LaLiga Player of the Month and Goal of the Month for March following his impressive form for Valencia.
The 28-year-old Nigerian striker will compete for the Player of the Month award against Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe, Real Betis midfielder Isco, Celta Vigo’s Marcos Alonso, and Rayo Vallecano’s Pedro Diaz.
Sadiq has been in fine form, scoring three goals in three league appearances this month. He netted a brace in Valencia’s thrilling 3-3 draw against Osasuna on March 2 before bagging the winning goal in a 2-1 victory over Real Valladolid six days later.
For the Goal of the Month award, the Super Eagles forward will battle Rayo Vallecano’s Florin Rațiu and CD Leganés’ Diego Garcia.
Sadiq has now scored four goals in eight league matches for Valencia this season, making a strong impact since joining the club.
