Mohamed Salah has put an end to speculation surrounding his future by signing a new contract with Liverpool, extending his stay at Anfield until 2027.
The Egyptian forward, whose previous deal was set to expire at the end of the season, has been in stunning form this campaign, scoring 27 goals and registering 17 assists in the Premier League to help put Liverpool 11 points clear at the top.
In an interview with the club, Salah expressed his excitement about the team’s future and his belief in more success to come.
“I signed because I think we have a chance to win other trophies and enjoy my football,” he said.
Since arriving from Roma in 2017, Salah has become a modern Anfield legend, scoring 243 goals and providing 109 assists in 393 appearances.
He’s already lifted every major trophy available with Liverpool, including the Premier League and Champions League.
Salah’s renewal marks a significant moment for the club, as fellow stars Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold also approach the final months of their current deals.
