Liverpool manager Arne Slot conceded his side was fortunate to escape Paris with a 1-0 victory over PSG in their Champions League last-16 first leg.
PSG dominated for large spells, but a resilient Liverpool, backed by a superb display from goalkeeper Alisson Becker, snatched a late winner through substitute Harvey Elliott in the 87th minute.
“They were the much better team, especially in the first half,” Slot admitted. “We waited until the last moment, and then we hurt them.”
He also praised Elliott’s impact off the bench, acknowledging the youngster’s frustration over limited playing time but commending his determination.
