Arne Slot vowed Liverpool would not ease up after they secured the Premier League title in style with a 5-1 thrashing of Tottenham at a jubilant Anfield.
The Dutchman, who replaced Jurgen Klopp last summer, guided Liverpool to their second Premier League crown with four games to spare.
“We have to compete for every trophy, and that didn’t change when I came in and it won’t change next season,” Slot said after the final whistle.
With Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk signing new deals and thousands of fans celebrating deep into the night, Slot urged his players to stay hungry.
“Although we were disappointed by the PSG defeat, we always felt there was a bigger goal to achieve,” he said, acknowledging next season could be even tougher as rivals look to respond.
