Snoop Dogg Becomes Swansea City Co-Owner

July 18, 2025

American rap icon Snoop Dogg has become a co-owner of English Championship side Swansea City, joining Croatian star Luka Modric in the club’s expanding ownership group.

The 53-year-old’s investment was confirmed days after he helped unveil Swansea’s new home kit, sparking speculation about his deeper involvement.

“My love of football is well known, but it feels special to make my move into club ownership with Swansea City,” Snoop said. “This is a proud, working-class city and club, an underdog that bites back, just like me.”

Modric joined the club’s American-led ownership group in April, as Swansea look to rebuild following financial struggles, including a £15.2 million pre-tax loss last year.

The club hopes Snoop’s global reach will boost their profile, just as fellow Welsh side Wrexham did with Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney at the helm. A “Doggumentary” may even be on the cards.
