Dominic Solanke’s first-half penalty secured a 1-0 win for Tottenham Hotspur over Eintracht Frankfurt, sending them into their first UEFA semi-final since 2019 and ending Frankfurt’s 12-game unbeaten Europa League run.
Frankfurt started brightly, with Hugo Ekitike nearly breaking through early on, only to be denied by Micky van de Ven’s last-ditch tackle.
Spurs grew into the game and earned a penalty after James Maddison was brought down by goalkeeper Kaua Santos. Solanke stepped up and calmly slotted home, ending his 11-match goal drought.
Fares Chaibi went close with a free-kick after the break, but Spurs held firm. Cristian Romero nearly added a second with a late header, but his effort went just wide as Tottenham secured a hard-fought clean sheet and a spot in the final four.
