Son Heung-min has completed a move to Los Angeles FC, ending a decade-long spell with Tottenham Hotspur.
The 33-year-old South Korean joins the MLS side for a reported £18.7 million fee, the highest transfer fee in league history.
The former Spurs captain leaves after making 454 appearances and scoring 173 goals, ranking among the club’s greatest ever players.
His final act in North London was lifting the Europa League trophy, Tottenham’s first silverware in 17 years.
At LAFC, Son will reunite with ex-teammate Hugo Lloris. The club sits sixth in the Western Conference, 10 points behind leaders San Diego, but with three games in hand.
“Los Angeles has such a rich history of champions, and I am here to help write the next chapter,” Son said. “I have come to LA to lift trophies and give everything for this club, this city, and its fans.”
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy praised Son’s contributions, calling him “one of the greatest players to ever wear the famous Lilywhite shirt” and “an incredible human being.”
Son leaves behind a legacy of goals, leadership, and unforgettable moments—and begins a new chapter under the bright lights of LA.
