A southern political pressure group, South for Tinubu (S4T), has urged Northern Nigerians to rally behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.

In a statement issued on Wednesday in Warri, Delta State, the group’s convener, Comrade David Obialor Nnamdi Jnr, stressed that Tinubu’s administration deserves continuity to complete a constitutionally allowed eight-year tenure, after which power would return to the North in 2031.

Obialor reminded the North that between 2015 and 2023, the South fully supported former President Muhammadu Buhari for two terms.

He argued that fairness and national unity demand reciprocal support from the North for Tinubu.

“The President is working tirelessly, offering both short- and long-term solutions to the challenges he inherited in 2023,” Obialor said, adding that Tinubu cannot succeed without the collective support of Nigerians.

The group further cautioned against turning the 2027 general elections into a “do-or-die affair,” insisting that Northern leaders should demonstrate statesmanship by backing Tinubu for the sake of peace, progress, and national cohesion.
