Tottenham are poised to sign Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White after deciding to trigger the England international’s £60 million release clause.

According to BBC reports on Thursday, the 25-year-old is expected to undergo a medical on Friday as Spurs push forward with an ambitious transfer window.

A £55 million deal for West Ham winger Mohammed Kudus is also reportedly close, signalling Spurs’ determination to strengthen new manager Thomas Frank’s squad.

Gibbs-White, who played a pivotal role in Forest’s seventh-place Premier League finish last season, scored seven goals and provided 10 assists in 34 league appearances.

His form earned him senior England recognition under Lee Carsley and Thomas Tuchel and previously attracted interest from Manchester City.

The midfielder’s departure marks a second major exit for Forest this week, following Anthony Elanga’s imminent £55 million move to Newcastle.

Gibbs-White joined Forest from Wolves in 2022 for an initial £25 million fee, rising to £42.5 million with add-ons.
