The Super Falcons’ friendly against the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon has been pushed back to Monday following a late change in venue and travel delays on the visitors’ end.
Originally slated for Saturday at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, the match will now hold at the newly renovated MKO Abiola Sports Arena in Abeokuta.
The switch comes after Cameroon’s delayed arrival, with head coach Jean Baptiste Bisseck only unveiling his squad on Friday. The team is expected to land in Nigeria on Saturday.
For Nigeria, the fixture is a key part of preparations for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, where they’ll battle Tunisia, Botswana, and the Democratic Republic of Congo in Group B.
Cameroon, meanwhile, are in transition after missing out on WAFCON qualification and will use the friendly to assess new options as they rebuild under Bisseck.
