Super Falcons Draw Zambia, Egypt, Malawi in WAFCON 2026 Group C

Defending champions Nigeria have been drawn alongside Zambia, Egypt and debutants Malawi in Group C of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, set to take place in Morocco from March 17 to April 3, 2026.

The draw was conducted on Thursday at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat, with Nigeria occupying position C1 as holders.

The Super Falcons’ clash with Zambia renews a familiar rivalry, after Nigeria thrashed the Copper Queens 5-0 on their way to winning a record-extending 10th title last year.

Egypt return to the finals following the tournament’s expansion to 16 teams, while Malawi will make their debut appearance.

Hosts Morocco headline Group A, South Africa lead Group B, and Group D features Ghana, Cameroon, Mali and Cape Verde. The tournament’s semi-finalists will qualify directly for the 2027 Women’s World Cup.
