Juventus moved into Serie A’s top four with a 2-0 win over bottom side Monza, despite playing the entire second half with 10 men after Kenan Yildiz’s red card.
Nicolas Gonzalez opened the scoring with a brilliant long-range strike after 11 minutes, before Randal Kolo Muani doubled the lead just past the half-hour mark at the Allianz Stadium.
Even after Yildiz’s dismissal for violent conduct before half-time, the Bianconeri remained comfortable as Monza struggled to create chances.
The result gives Juventus a vital lift in the race for Champions League qualification, while Monza’s survival hopes continue to fade after a 12th defeat in 14 league matches.
