Thomas Müller will depart Bayern Munich at the end of the season, bringing a remarkable 25-year journey with the club to a close.

The 35-year-old confirmed on social media Saturday that Bayern chose not to offer him a contract extension, despite his desire to stay.

Müller, who joined the Bavarian giants as a youth player, leaves with a record 12 Bundesliga titles, more than any other player in league history, as well as two Champions League trophies and a World Cup with Germany.

Though his role has diminished in recent seasons, the veteran attacker expressed his continued passion for the game and his willingness to contribute.

While his next move remains unknown, Bayern have indicated interest in keeping him connected to the club post-retirement.

With Bayern chasing more silverware this season and the Champions League final set to be held at their home stadium, Müller remains focused on ending his Bayern chapter on a high.
