The Thunder trailed at halftime but exploded in the third quarter, outscoring Minnesota 32-18 to seize control.
Jalen Williams added 19 points, while Chet Holmgren and Isaiah Hartenstein combined for 27.
Julius Randle led the Timberwolves with 28 points, but Minnesota’s offense faltered after the break.
Anthony Edwards, who finished with 18 points, was held scoreless in the fourth.
Oklahoma City leads the series 1-0, with Game 2 set for Thursday.
