President Bola Tinubu has promised players in the real estate sector in Nigeria that his administration will add value to lands and buildings through the construction of access roads.

He stated this when he commissioned a 15km A2 Junction Road in Pai Community, in the nation’s capital city, Abuja, on Monday.

“I know those who own real estate around here will be extremely happy for this value addition. We will do more for all of you,” the president stated.

He said the Federal Government’s infrastructural development drive was aimed at the benefit of the people and elevating the standard of living.

“This progress will continue to elevate our lives if this administration continues to prioritise infrastructural projects in all zones,” he said.

Tinubu commended the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, for spreading development to the under-served areas in the nation’s capital.

“We will ensure that development is not lopsided but balanced, inclusive, and targeted at lifting lives,” the president pledged.

Tinubu said the commissioning of the road was symbolic and strategic. “It is strategic because it opens a new corridor for agriculture, commerce, education, mobility, and all that is necessary to strengthen our economy from the grassroots up,” he said.

He said though the members of the community should make important contributions to Nigeria’s food production and economic output, “but their potential has been hindered by poor road access, isolation and neglect for far too long. Today, the narrative is changing”.

The president urged the people of the community to guard and maintain the road. “Let it be a pathway to growth and a bridge to a better life for youths, farmers, traders, and students who would move with great ease,” he said.
